Daniel Jung is an Australian-based designer, born in South Korea, who spent part of his childhood in Europe and Australia and has travelled extensively. These experiences exposed him to diverse cultures and perspectives, inspiring a lifelong curiosity for design in all its forms. With a background in Industrial Design, Daniel has explored a wide range of creative disciplines; from furniture, technology, and interior installations to musical instruments, clothing, footwear, and photography.

 

Passionate about experimentation and collaboration, Daniel approaches each project as an opportunity to learn, innovate, and explore new creative directions. He seeks to build a career shaped by meaningful collaboration, a distinct design identity, and work that contributes positively to communities and future generations.

He also works under New Light, a creative platform he founded to draw inspiration from diverse fields and introduce projects across a broader spectrum of design. The name New Light reflects a renewed passion for creative work symbolising a sense of awakening and fresh perspective, as if seeing the world, and the act of creation itself, in a new light.
